Small Group Churches

Small Group Churches is the #1 self-hosted online forum for Small Group point people, pastors and leaders. We are not THE resource for everything small groups, but we believe we can help you find the resource(s) you need.

Small Group Churches was founded by Andrew Mason and is led by a core team and many contributors. They are as follows…

Scott Boren Scott Boren – For almost 20 years, Scott has been working with churches to help them develop effective community through small groups that are on mission. He is the author or co-author of eight different books, along with curriculum that has been developed as a part of his responsibilities as a pastor at Woodland Hills Church. Joel Comiskey – Joel leads the Joel Comiskey Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources and coaching to plant new cell churches and transition existing churches to cell-based ministry. Scott Boren  Steve Gladen – Steve is a well known conference speaker, author and Pastor of the Spiritual Maturity Team at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. He is the founder of the Small Group Network.

 

 

Mike MackMike Mack – Mike leads the Small Group Leadership ministry SmallGroupLeadership.com, training leaders, consulting with churches, and writing/editing small group resources. He was the Groups Minister at Northeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY, from 2001-2012 and has served in several other churches leading small group and discipleship ministries. He originally founded SmallGroups.com in 1996.

 

 

Andrew S. MasonAndrew Mason – Andrew Mason is the Small Groups Pastor of Real Life Church, a family of churches in the Nor. CA region. He oversees Small Groups and Assimilation. He is Founder of SmallGroupChurches.com, an online community of leaders dedicated to growing churches one small group at a time. Andrew resides in Sacramento, CA with his wife Camille and their son. Dean DeguaraDean Deguara – Dean has been married to his wife, Amy, for over 21 years. Jim Egli Jim Egli – Jim is the Leadership Pastor at the Vineyard Church, a multisite church with five campuses in East Central Illinois. Scott HaganScott Hagan – Scott and his wife, Karen, are the founding pastors of Real Life Church in Sacramento, CA. Scott is also a regular columnist for Charisma Magazine and the Enrichment Journal. Rick Howerton – Rick  has one passion:  to see “a biblical small group within walking distance of every person on the planet making disciples that make disciples.” He is pursuing this passion as the small group and discipleship specialist at LifeWay Church Resources. Rick has also authored the book, “A Different Kind of Tribe: Embracing the New Small Group Dynamic.

Ben ReedBen Reed – Ben Reed is a Pastor on the Small Groups team at Saddleback Church in Southern CA and is the author of the book, Starting Small. Ben is married with a son and daughter. His interaction with small groups, recruiting small group leaders, training and shepherding them is broad, and his heart beats for healthy, authentic, biblical, Jesus-focused community. He knows that without a healthy system, you can’t replicate what you do with any efficiency.
